Privacy Policy

This privacy statement is applicable to vulscan.com. Vulscan Digital Security's (hereafter denoted as “The Company”) policy is to respect and protect the privacy of our users.

We've included several annotations that aren't part of the privacy statement itself, but are intended to emphasize key points and help you follow along. We've tried to be clear and straightforward. When in doubt, ask us by emailing support@vulscan.com.

Personally identifiable information

The Company does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except when such individuals specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis, such as by registering with the Company. The Company shall maintain appropriate safeguards, consistent with the standards of the industry, to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of information collected from individuals.

In order to collect payments we, using Stripe as a third-party payment processor, collect payment information from you. This information is used solely to collect and provide payments related to the products and services you have purchased or subscribed to, and is only stored by Stripe. You should review the terms of service and privacy policies of Stripe, available at https://stripe.com/us/legal & https://stripe.com/us/privacy.

Personally identifiable information collected by or on vulscan.com will not be sold or otherwise provided to third parties without user consent. In addition, at the time a user provides personally identifiable information, he or she will have the opportunity to indicate whether he or she would like to “opt out” of receiving promotional and/or marketing information about other products and services, as well as other offerings, such as security alerts and product updates, from the Company. Upon request, the Company will use reasonable efforts to allow users to update/correct personal information previously submitted which the user states is erroneous to the extent such activities will not compromise privacy or security interests. Also, upon a user's request, the Company will use commercially reasonable efforts to functionally delete the user and his or her personal information from its database; however, it may be impossible to delete a user's entry without some residual information because of backups and records of deletions.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, visitors are advised that aggregate statistics on visitors will be compiled by the Company and used to conduct market research. The Company may share anonymous, aggregate data with advertising, business or promotional partners. Notwithstanding any opt out of receiving promotional information by the user, the Company reserves the right to contact a subscriber regarding account status, changes to the subscriber agreement and other matters relevant to the underlying service and/or the information collected.

You’re personal information is yours...

As a user of the products and services from us we need to know WHO you are. But no one else needs that information. When possible, we try not to store anything we don't need. However, we do collect stats in an effort to make the experience better. We will not disclose or share that with anyone outside of the Company. And if you want us to get rid of it, just ask. We will do our best to bash your bits to oblivion.

Disclosure of information

The Company shall not disclose user information or the contents of e-mail received from visitors to vulscan.com except: (a) in the course of normal maintenance, operation and use of vulscan.com by the Company and parties with whom it has contracted to provide certain services in connection with the site (e.g. the broadcasting of security alerts or updates) and its systems; (b) when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the Company's rights or property, other vulscan.com users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities; (c) as specified by the sender of such email; (d) as required by law; or (e) as otherwise specified by the Company on vulscan.com.

We don’t share well with others...

Unless we are compelled by law, we will not disclose what happens here. And if we are compelled, you will be notified. Unless they throw us in a dark hole with no Internet first… then you’re on your own. Why anybody in a black helicopter wants to know how much you know about cloud security is beyond us…. did you hack a three letter agency or something?

Links

The Company website may contain links to other sites. The Company cannot control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. The Company encourages users to be aware when they leave vulscan.com, and to read the privacy statements of each web site they visit. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by the Company's web site.

Oh the tangled web we weave...

It's common sense… but we had to point it out anyways. We don't control what others write. If a link flies off to a property not belonging to us, don't get mad at us if they try to sell you blue pills or something. Hey, Morpheus TOLD you the difference between the red and blue pills. Why didn't you listen?

Policy acceptance

The foregoing policies are effective as of May 2018. The Company reserves the right to change this policy at any time. This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.

By using this site, you signify your assent to the Company's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our site. Your continued use of vulscan.com following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.

Notification of policy changes

If the Company changes its Privacy Policy, those changes will be posted on the vulscan.com homepage so users are always aware of what information the Company collects, how the information is used, and under what circumstances, if any, the information may be disclosed.

To Opt-Out Of Future Communications

If you do not want to receive further communication from the Company you may contact us and ask to have your information deleted.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this privacy statement, please contact the Company at support@vulscan.com.
